Proper Use of a Solidcold Blast Freezer Blast Freezing Process: Start up your Solidcold Blast Freezer and let it get to -45C internal temperature (about 20 minutes). Place the desired amount of 6-to-12-ounce proportioned seafood into a vacuum sealed bag for Individually Quick-Frozen use (IQF). It will help the freezing process if your proportioned cuts have been stored on ice or in the refrigerator. Switch off the internal fans on your Blast Freezer (this will prevent freezing air from escaping), As quickly as possible, align the product in a single layer on each of the six trays provided for direct shelf freezing (do not double layer the product on the trays). Close the Blast Freezer door and switch on the internal fans. Then wait one to two hours for the product to be completely frozen at -20C to -40C. Switch off the internal fans off, remove all the trays and store the frozen Seafood in your Solidcold -60C freezer. After that, you can shut down the Blast Freezer until next use or repeat the process for the next load of IQF seafood.
